The School Focused Youth Service (SFYS) program supports vulnerable young people aged 10-18 by assisting them to improve their engagement and connection to education in the City of Whittlesea, Shepparton and Moira Shire areas.
Kildonan’s SFYS program undertakes a partnership approach with local school and community organisations to develop and coordinate responses for young people at risk of disengaging with the education system .

The work of the School Focused Youth Service is driven by the needs of at risk young people and closely linked to schools and health and wellbeing services provided by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (e.g. Primary Welfare Officers, Student Welfare Coordinators, Student Support Services) and the community.

SFYS is funded by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD). SFYS across the Northern Metropolitan Region is delivered through a consortium model lead by Kildonan. Partners include Berry Street, Merri Community Health Services, and Nillumbik Health Services.
